Texas-based Sente Mortgage announced this week it has hired former MetLife executive Scott Norman to lead its growing reverse mortgage division.
Norman, who has also served as president of the Texas Mortgage Bankers Association, will spearhead Sente’s efforts toward growth throughout Texas and nationally.
“We are looking to scale up and become a bigger player in Texas and nationally, growing over the next 18 months through Texas and through the central part of the U.S.,” Norman told RMD.
With locations in Austin, Dallas, Houston, San Antonio and New Braunfels, mortgage banker Sente has offered reverse mortgages in the past, but plans to expand under Norman’s direction, including new hires as well as working with existing loan officers and brokering arrangements. The company currently has around 100 employees with plans to hire several on the reverse mortgage team.
“Our primary goal would be to be a top-5 lender in Texas this year, and then to become a top-10 lender nationally,” Norman says. “I’m extremely excited about it. It’s a good opportunity for Texas.”
