ReverseVision’s Jeff Birdsell Honored with Mortgage Industry Tech Award

The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) this week announced that Jeff Birdsell, CMB and vice president of professional services for ReverseVision, Inc., is a 2016 MBA Tech-All Star.

Birdsell is among just nine industry innovators who received the prestigious award from MBA, which celebrates leaders who have made outstanding long-term contributions to the field of mortgage technology.

The March issue of MBA’s Mortgage Banking magazine acknowledged Birdsell for his role as one of the reverse mortgage industry’s most sought-after technology experts, as well as a key influencer in the revival of reverse lending among smaller banks and independent lenders.

“It’s a tremendous honor to be recognized by Mortgage Banking as an MBA Tech All-Star,” Birdsell said in a written statement. “While I’m particularly motivated by the challenges of the reverse mortgage industry, this award validates my long-held belief that the lessons we’ve learned in this business have value for lenders across the mortgage banking spectrum.”

Over the course of his 25-year career, Birdsell has been a prime contributor to some of the reverse mortgage industry’s most prolific software solutions, including most recently ReverseVision’s RV Exchange software, through which the company boasts more reverse loans are originated monthly than all other systems combined.

“Jeff’s financial engineering skills, technology knowledge and tremendous experience in the reverse lending industry make him exceedingly unique, and he’s a pleasure to work with,” said ReverseVision President and CEO John Button in a written statement. “I am both proud and thrilled to see him receive this recognition for years of service to the industry.”
