Comedian and talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has produced a spoof of a reverse mortgage commercial, which aired on his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live, this weekend.
Kimmel stars as the spokesman for the “Reverse” Reverse Mortgage, giving a nod to Tom Selleck who recently took the helm as AAG’s reverse mortgage spokesman.
“Thirty years from new, we are going to need a new tom Selleck…and that will be me,” Kimmel says, donning gray hair and gray beard.
The spoof reverse mortgage product allows people to borrow money while they are alive, and then bill their children.
“Transcontinental pays you a fixed monthly income for life,” Kimmel says. “Then after your death, your children will receive your bill for the total amount, plus fees and interest. You’re tapping into your kids future earnings; money that, let’s be honest, they probably won’t even want.”
