Birmingham, Alabama-based FirstBank Reverse is building its wholesale and correspondent lending services through the hire of Bob Garczewski as reverse mortgage correspondent manager.
In his role with FirstBank, Garczerski will lead the reverse mortgage wholesale division as well as affinity partnerships, allowing him to leverage the company’s forward account executives, the company says. He will also focus on third party correspondent accounts toward growth across the company’s reverse division, which is led by Division Manager Dan Barksdale and Director of Mortgage Banking Rob Henger.
“Bob Garczewski is a seasoned reverse veteran who will complement our current expansion with the foray into the wholesale business and we are excited to have him on board,” Barksdale said.
Garczewski worked most recently in the reverse mortgage business as an account manager for Liberty Home Equity Solutions and has held positions on the forward side in the meantime with U.S. Bank and Regions Bank Mortgage.
FirstBank has been targeting growth nationwide in recent months. The company announced several new hires in August that will contribute to its West Coast sales team, and has also built its East Coast presence this year with the hires of Robert Totten and Ed O’Connor.
