Bay Docs Adds New Reverse Express Feature for Reverse Mortgage Applicants

Potential reverse mortgage borrowers can now submit sensitive data directly to their originator via a new portal feature added to Bay Docs, LLC’s loan origination system, Reverse Express.

The secured Applicant Upload Portal allows potential borrowers to submit data directly through Bay Docs’  Reverse Express site rather than attaching their sensitive data to unsecured email.

“A borrower who wants to send their Originator a copy of their bank statement, or identification can go to our secure website and enter in a code and simply click upload,” said Bay Docs President Megen Lawler.

A secure web-based platform, Reverse Express was designed with client and applicant security as a main feature, and created to give the user, and now the applicant, a user-friendly experience.

“It is imperative that we listen to our users as they work hand in hand with the applicants and have wonderful ideas on how to improve our system,” Lawler stated.

Headquartered in Novato, Calif., Bay Docs is celebrating its 21st year providing services to the reverse mortgage industry. The company continues to build upon the Reverse Express system with new updates and system enhancements.

Last month, the company added an electronic signature feature to Reverse Express, enabling reveres mortgage originators to send their application packages directly to potential borrowers via e-signature companies.

The update joins several other system enhancements already in place intended to expedite loan processing times, including integrated services for appraisals, credit reporting, flood certification and title services.
