American Advisors Group has hired former Generation Mortgage wholesale executive vice president Kimberly Kerrigan Smith to lead its wholesale lending channel.
In her new role as senior vice president of wholesale lending, Smith will oversee the channel launched by AAG in June.
Smith recently left her position with Generation after several years managing wholesale operations for the lender. Previously, she held roles with Reverse Mortgage Lender Network and Financial Freedom.
“I am thrilled to be part of the team at AAG,” Smith said. “I believe we can capitalize on our strengths and grow to be a top reverse mortgage wholesale provider. AAG has built the leading retail brand in the industry and I look forward to continuing this success with our wholesale division.”
AAG has expanded its retail operations over the past year to include new sales hires driving triple-digit annual volume growth. The company says it is targeting growth in the wholesale arena through Smith’s hire.
“Kim has been one of the most impressive executives within the reverse mortgage industry and we are very excited to have her lead the
charge to make AAG a top wholesale player in the space,” said Reza Jahangiri, AAG CEO.
