1st Reverse Mortgage USA recently hired Todd Zurik as a senior loan consultant in its Houston office.
The Houston-area native and graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas has previously worked as a retail lending branch manager, wholesale lending account manager, and a foreclosure liquidator during his more than 30 years in the lending industry.
“Todd is a valuable member of the 1st Reverse Mortgage USA retail team,” 1st Reverse vice president Dan Harder said in a release announcing Zurik’s hire. “He has a solid reputation and many years of expertise in the mortgage lending field.”
He most recently worked as a consumer direct reverse mortgage specialist for Security One Lending, which shuttered operations this past January after its parent company, Walter Investment Management Corp., exited the reverse mortgage business entirely.
“His business practices, product knowledge, and superior customer service meld nicely with our culture,” Harder said. “We’re very pleased to have someone of Todd’s character joining us at 1st Reverse Mortgage USA.”
Based in the Denver suburb of Lakewood, Colo., 1st Reverse Mortgage USA — a subsidiary of Cherry Creek Mortgage — came in 14th place among all Home Equity Conversion Mortgage originators in endorsement totals with 689 loans in 2016, according to data from Reverse Market Insight.
“I’m excited to be part of this team and look forward to being able to provide people in our Houston community a wide variety of financial opportunities,” Zurik said in the release.
