Next week, thousands of seniors nationwide will be acquainted with the reverse mortgage offerings of American Advisors Group (AAG) through the company’s recently announced TV sponsorship of a nationally broadcasted U.S. Figure Skating event.
AAG announced Monday that it will sponsor the International Skating Union (ISU) Grand Prix of Figure Skating Series event, the “ISU Grand Prix Russia (Rostelecom Cup) Presented by AAG on NBC,” which will air at 4 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, Nov. 16.
This is the second consecutive year in which the company has supported U.S. Figure Skating and their broadcast of an ISU event as an on-air presenting sponsor.
“We are very proud to continue our relationship with U.S. Figure Skating by supporting the broadcast of this event,” AAG Chief Creative Officer Teague McGrath said in a written statement. “We share parallel audiences; a synergy that makes the relationship a natural fit. We will receive significant in-telecast visibility through this sponsorship, helping us to reach thousands of seniors to educate them on our services.”
The marketing reach could likely extend beyond the thousands of potential borrowers watching the competition at home. Through the live broadcast, AAG says it will have the opportunity to inform millions of viewers nationwide about the benefits of a reverse mortgage.
The Grand Prix Series, now in its 20th season, consists of six international events in a cumulative point-scoring format. Approximately 300 athletes from 30 countries are expected to compete in this series. However, only the top six point-earners in each discipline will qualify for the 2014 ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final, which is set for December 11-14 in Barcelona, Spain.
