FirstBank Mortgage Partners last week announced that it has promoted Regional Manager Ed O’Connor to the role of HECM Division Sales & Marketing Manager.
In his newly expanded position, O’Connor will be responsible for all reverse marketing efforts along with all sales initiatives, stated Division Manager Dan Barksdale. He will also continue to oversee all of the company’s recruiting efforts on a national basis and will maintain FirstBank’s implementation of its Bank and Credit Union programs, along with its wholesale account executives.
O’Connor was first hired to join FirstBank’s reverse mortgage sales force in March in efforts geared toward the company’s expansion in the northeastern U.S.
Prior to his work with the Tennessee-based FirstBank, O’Connor had previously held positions with Nationwide Equities as well as with Generation Mortgage, which had announced Wednesday its departure from reverse mortgage originations.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be associated with an organization that is top notch,” O’Connor told RMD. “It is encouraging to have people value your input and experience and to be rewarded with the confidence to help our reverse division grow so that we can continue to help our seniors. The team here at FirstBank provides a strong base to grow on and is filled with exceptional people”
A 107-year-old FDIC insured bank, FirstBank is looking to recruit and hire reverse mortgage professionals nationwide. Year-to-date through September 2014, the company has closed 289 loans, according to the latest tally from Reverse Market Insight.
