American Advisors Group is expanding its national sales team through the hire of Jim McMinn, who will serve as a regional manager for AAG’s northeast sales region.
McMinn bring more than 12 years of reverse mortgage experience spanning management and loan origination. He has worked most recently for Urban Financial of America as well as Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and MetLife Bank.
In his new role with AAG, McMinn will cover territory from Delaware to Maine.
“Jim joins AAG’s three regional managers including Melanie Parks-West; Tracy Laney-Southeast; and Jim Elder-Central to oversee AAG field sales activities across the country,” said Kevin Blakeney, senior vice president in charge of the company’s national field sales organization. “This talented team of regional sales leaders is tasked with aggressively growing the national field sales team to 120 loan officers by the end of the year.”
AAG acquired the reverse mortgage division of Associated Mortgage Bankers, led by Blakeney, earlier this year in an effort to grow its field sales presence in the northeast.
The company has grown its loan volume consistently year over year, counting more than 1,000 reverse mortgage endorsements in July.
