In an effort to boost its retail sales presence in Texas, Generation Mortgage Company has hired Branch Manager Forrest Lowry and seven reverse mortgage loan officers based across several metro areas.
The company has targeted Texas as a growth area for it retail operations.
“Because Texas is the second-largest market for conversion mortgages in the country, it is a specific area of focus for Generation Mortgage’s new retail sales division,” said GMC Chief Sales Officer Cheryl MacNally. “Consequently, we took special care to ensure our local retail operations included HECM industry veterans that have proven success in this important market. We continue to view Texas as an opportunity for ongoing growth and are excited at the response to our team’s initial efforts.”
The branch manager, Lowry, oversees all of the offices in Texas. He brings experience with Wells Fargo’s reverse mortgage division, where he built a team of originators across south and west Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. He has also worked with Network Funding and Bank of America.
The team of originators includes Gary Bauch in Houston and The Woodlands; Nicholas Gamboa in Dallas-Fort Worth; Jena Gilliland in Corpus Christi. Lisa Parker-Hamilton is supporting the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and east Texas regions; Rodney Rogers also services the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, Nancy Starr works with homeowners in San Marcos and Hill Country; and Tim Thompson will be focused in San Antonio.
“Our retail sales organization features some of the finest HECM professionals in the industry,” said MacNally. “Given the past accomplishments achieved by our Texas team members, we believe GMC is poised to have a significant impact in the Lone Star State.”
