One New York-based mortgage lender has expanded its services with the launching of a new call center, as well as a new retail branch in the NY area.
MCS Mortgage Bankers, an originator throughout the tri-state area, announced yesterday the grand opening of both a retail branch office in Garden City, N.Y. and a 12-employee reverse mortgage call center in Plainview, N.Y.
MCS, which prides itself on offering a full spectrum of mortgage banking products to its business partners and customers, urges clientele to not believe the media hype when it comes to the difficulty in obtaining credit.
“The existing perception by the media is that obtaining credit is more difficult than ever,” said Marc Stone, president of MCS. “That is not always the case, and we positively demonstrate that here at MCS.”
Having originated reverse mortgages since 2008, the MCS management team believes now is the right time to drive growth in the reverse mortgage market as the product benefits the company’s growing consumer base and also helps fulfill its corporate growth objective, an MCS spokesperson relayed to RMD via email.
The MCS retail branch in Garden City will cater to the general public, featuring in-branch processing and underwriting, and also supported by the company’s expanding product offerings.
The launch of the call center and the new branch office is part of the company’s regular initiative to evaluate and identify opportunities for strategic growth, according to MCS executives.
“We have a long history of meeting the mortgage needs of New Yorkers in eastern Long Island,” said Taylor Stork, executive vice president, national sales director of MCS. “Our newest branches are strategically located to support and enhance our growth plans by expanding our presence in New York.”
Founded in 1995, the Patchogue, N.Y.-based MCS currently has 13 retail branch locations in the tri-state area, Florida and Ohio.
