After six years as chairman and CEO of Generation Mortgage, Jeff Lewis has resigned from his post with the company.
In his time as Generation CEO, Lewis appeared in numerous media outlets representing reverse mortgage products and people. He previously served as a member of the Coalition for Independent Seniors and a leader toward reverse mortgage efforts in Washington.
“After six amazing years as Chairman and CEO at Generation Mortgage it’s time for me to embark on new adventures,” Lewis said. “I’m extremely proud to be leaving in place a great team…and I wish much success in the future to Generation.
Lewis will be missed by both the company and the business, say colleagues at Generation.
“Jeff has been a driving force for both Generation and the Reverse Mortgage industry as a whole,” said Chief Operating Officer Mark Sohl. “He has led Generation with passion, vision, and steadfast principles since it was founded more than six years ago. I personally have learned a tremendous amount working alongside him the past three years and know he will be missed greatly by everyone at Generation. A statesman of the Reverse Mortgage in all aspects of the term.”
Further, the company wished Lewis well in his next endeavors, on which Generation declined to comment.
“We at Generation are more than grateful for all that Jeff has done to establish a customer service-oriented foundation, means to assist seniors with the ability to gracefully age in place, and for building the roadmap for Generation’s continued success as an industry leader in this marketplace,” said Colin Cushman, chief risk officer.
The announcement comes on the heels of Generation’s hiring of Cheryl MacNally to lead reverse mortgage sales for the company after holding a position with Wells Fargo in reverse mortgage sales.
Lewis was voted Best Reverse Mortgage Spokesman in the 2011 Reverse Mortgage Daily Awards.
