Reverse mortgage servicer Reverse Mortgage Solutions has hired former Bank of America executive Kyle Bradford to lead its southeast regional sales team. Bradford will be based in Atlanta, where he has responsibility for developing the retail reverse mortgage loan origination team in the Southern and Mid-Atlantic regions.
The personnel development came several weeks after RMS announced it would be expanding its reverse mortgage business to include a retail sales arm and correspondent channel.
“We’re bringing on a team of professional and high producing experienced loan officers to service the region,” Bradford told RMD. He is seeking a number of additional team members in order to grow the team in place. He has brought several people from his previous role as vice president, Mid-Southern area reverse sales manager for Bank of America.
While his recent experience building Bank of America’s reverse mortgage business is relevant, he says, having experience across spectrums in the mortgage business is a benefit as well. His experience spans loan origination, underwriting, territory management across 20 years of mortgage banking. “It’s not the first time I’ve taken a market from almost no presence in a matter of 18-36 months to a profitable, successful unit,” he said.
RMS announced in March that it would broaden its business from reverse mortgage servicing to include a Spring, Texas-based retail call center as well as a correspondent channel. At that time, RMS President and Chief Operating Officer H. Marc Helm said the company’s “vibrant growth” within existing markets and entry into new ones will deepen the company’s industry presence and provide cross-sector opportunities from forward and reverse originations to servicing and securitizations.
