REMALO Opens Membership to All Reverse Mortgage Professionals

image REMALO announced that it’s changing their membership structure and name to better reflects its mission statement and goals said a company statement.

The new REMALO will change from Reverse Mortgage Association for Loan Officers to Reverse Mortgage Marketing Advantages for Loan Officers.  The site is also changing from a paid membership to free where members will have access to all the information.

“The name change better reflects our mission statement and goals, which are to  assist reverse mortgage consultants  with sales, marketing, and training designed to help them be more successful,” said Sam Collins, founder of REMALO.

There was some confusion among the industry about whether or not REMALO was an association like NRMLA or the MBA, so this helps clear everything up.

Members will have access to all its content rich information, sales, marketing, training, downloads, audios, videos, eBooks, ect.

    So I'm to take marketing advice from a guy who is such a poor marketer he couldn't convince anyone to pay for his services so he's just giving them away for free?

    In the beginning Sam had a dual objective with REMALO, provide marketing support and provide a forum for the voices of loan officers. At first Sam was perceived as raising something up in competition to NRMLA. Sam immediately made it clear that was not his objective.

    As time went on, it became apparent that he could not practically achieve both objectives in the current economic environment. Because of the difficulty and costs of maintaining a pure loan officer organization, Sam decided to narrow his activity to his marketing business.

    His decision to pull back on the loan officer organization idea should allow Sam the time he needs to focus on the growth of his marketing business. I personally enjoy reading his advice and being involved in his endeavors. I wish him the best.
