Financial Freedom announced that it has formed an alliance with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) to become the exclusive provider of  reverse mortgages for its qualified members.  Veterans can access information about reverse mortgages from their local VFW location and find information as well as a DVD on the VFW’s mortgage website.

“As we explored reverse mortgage providers on behalf of our members, we wanted to identify a lender with a great reputation and track record for serving America’s senior homeowners,” said Robert Crow, VFW Deputy Assistant Quartermaster General -Operations.  “Financial Freedom has been a proud, responsible industry leader and senior advocate for over 10 years, with a single-focus on reverse mortgages.”

To help Veterans evaluate reverse mortgages, Financial Freedom has developed an educational video entitled “The Financial Solution You’ve Been Waiting For,” that explores the best practices, safeguards and important considerations.  In addition, Financial Freedom developed two other advocacy videos called “Is a Reverse Mortgage Right for Me?” and “Uses for a Reverse Mortgage.”

According to the press release, part of the alliance also serves the veterans by donating funds to the VFW Veterans Service and Military Assistance Programs.  I’ll admit this is a creative idea, kudos to FF.
