If you were unable to attend the MBA’s National Secondary Conference, you may have missed the Capital Markets: Building for Tomorrow presentation.  The presentation which was titled “Alternative Mortgage Programs” featured 20 slides about reverse mortgages. 

One of the most interesting slides shows the evolution of reverse mortgage products from May 2006 to May 2007.  The difference is staggering, 4 products in May of 2006 versus 17 products in May of 2007.

The presentation also provides graphs that touch on different subjects like HECM borrowers data, reverse mortgage securities, how reverse mortgage losses occur, actuarial and mobility data, and much more.  To see a copy of the presentation click the link below.
